In a previous article: I come down rather hard on Luther because of what the implications of “going off on your own” have when you’re attempting to be a unified body of Christ. That doesn’t mean 100% of what Luther stood for, said, claimed, and put forth was wrong. I would actually venture to say had he stayed in the church, it would have been extremely fruitful to see where things would have ended up — rather than schism and divide.
