Psalm 4: Elder Translation
When I call, come to me, One[elohim] who vindicates.
In trouble, clear my path to safety. Give me your grace, and hear my lifted prayers.
Men disgrace the glory that resides within me, How long will you love vanity, O man?
How long will you seek the lies of the world?
But know that Yahweh will treat with pleasure the godly one. Yahweh hears when I call to him. Tremble, but sin not. Search the depths of your soul on your bed, and be silent.
Offer the right sacrifices, and bring forth trust to Yahweh.
Many are declare out, “who will show us joy?” Lift the light of your face, Yahweh.
You have put joy in my heart more than when the pleasures of life abound. In perfect peace I will lie down and sleep, at once, for you alone, Yahweh, make me rest in your quietness.
