Psalm 3: Elder Translation

O YHWH, my enemies are endless; countless men are against me. They yell out, “Elohim will never rescue him!”

But you, YHWH, are a my protection all around me; you are my honor, the one who restores my strength. I cried out YHWH, and he answered me from the ethereal. He stands above all others.

In his wake, I lay down and sleep among enemies, yet I awoke in his protection, for YHWH was standing guard over me. The the darkness may seek to surround me, endless enemies may attack, I am no longer afraid.

Come to my defense, YHWH!
You will deliver the final blow the darkness, their teeth with hold no grip, they will crumble before you. Deliverance belongs to YHWH, may you be with your people, always.
